Last month Sugarman Group supported Mental Health Awareness Week (14th-20th May). This years theme was focussed on Stress after the Mental Health Foundation commissioned a survey that found 74% of people in the UK have felt overwhelmed and unable to cope with stress within the last year.
To help promote this awareness week Sugarman Group took part in a number of activities aimed at promoting positive mental health, self-esteem and well-being in and outside of the workplace. These activities included; free fruit across our branches, On the hour office exercises, daily well-being tips and a compliment box in each branch where staff wrote anonymous compliments about their colleagues as well as office exercise at the start of each hour.
The activities ran across both the UK and Australian branches in which we raised £400 for mental health charity, Mind and $600 for the Lifeline charity in Australia. We would like to thank everyone who donated and all the staff that took part in this great cause.
