When frailty, chronic illness and memory loss make everyday activities a challenge, home care support can provide individuals with the care they need while allowing them to live as independently as possible in their own home.
An increasing number of people need extra support to assist them with everyday living and improve their quality of life. Our home support service ranges from assisting the older persons with daily chores and helping with medication.
While home care is most commonly introduced as a service to assist the elderly, it is also a valuable resource when an individual of any age has had an injury, accident or surgery – or is suffering from a chronic illness.
Sugarman Health and Wellbeing provides support around the home including cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping and preparing meals. We help with personal care such as dressing and undressing, washing, continence care and support with medication. Our care workers will escort people back from hospital and prepare their homes beforehand. They also provide companionship and accompany clients to the shops, GP, day care centre or social engagements.
A primary benefit of care home support is the versatility it offers as and when needs change, to enable individuals to remain in their home, rather than reside a in care home or transfer to hospital.
Our care and support workers provide a customised ‘care plan’ tailored to the status, conditions, preferences, hobbies and lifestyle of the individual. Most importantly, individuals together with their families may choose the level of support they need and adapt the ‘care plan’ as their needs change.
Our mission has always been to offer the highest standard of care to our clients and we are proud to have made a difference to the lives of thousands of individuals and their families in the last decade. Our care and support workers are personally committed to their work and we provide a 24 hour on call service for our clients needs.
