The pupils we support have a range of needs including:

  • Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Autism and Learning Difficulties
  • Children in Care – needing catch up tuition due to missing chunks of school or being out of education
  • Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs – varying from anxiety to severe mental health
  • Pupils who have been excluded from school

About the Teacher role:

  • Subjects: Core & Specialist Subjects
  • This role will involve providing tuition to young people referred to alternative Provision
  • These young people are referred to us by local authorities and schools and will require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
  • Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person’s progress

  • Have a genuine passion for SEND and /or SEMH
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a therapeutic and holistic approach
  • Be diverse with your lessons and be able to reach learners at varying levels and abilities
  • Minimum 2 years experience
