Job Title: Care Assistant
Location: LS17 , Leeds
Pay: £13.50 p/h
Shifts: 10:00- 13:00 , 20:00- 22:00 (pop-ins) , 10:00 – 22:00 (12 hour shift)

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Care Assistant to support a young woman with complex healthcare needs in her family home in Leeds.

She has a range of complex conditions including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, PEG feeding requirements, mobility needs, and non-verbal communication needs. Despite her challenges, she is a cheerful and engaging young woman who loves music, sensory activities, films, spending time in the garden, and social interaction with those around her.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and hygiene support
  • Supporting PEG feeding, hydration, and medication administration (full training provided)
  • Assisting with hoist transfers and repositioning
  • Monitoring health, wellbeing, and clinical observations
  • Supporting communication through non-verbal cues and interaction
  • Maintaining accurate care documentation and records
  • Delivering meaningful social and sensory activities
  • Working collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionalsPromoting dignity, independence, and choice at all times

Who We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 6 months’ care experience
  • Availability to work two pop-in shifts and one 12-hour shift each week.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in complex care, PEG feeding, epilepsy, or physical disabilities is desirable but not essential
