Job Title: Live-In Support Worker – Female
Location: Braintree, Essex
Pay: £1,149 per week
Shifts: Live-in (08:00 – 20:00 active hours)
Contract: Permanent Live-in (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off)
Please note: Due to the personal care needs of our clients, this role is open to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

About the Role
As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality one-to-one support to a vulnerable person in her home, helping her live safely, independently, and with dignity. You will assist with personal care, companionship, mobility, emotional support, and daily tasks such as meals and housekeeping.
In this dedicated role, you will work as part of a trusted 2:1 complex care team supporting an engaging female client in her 50s who is recovering from a life-changing stroke. She requires compassionate, tailored assistance with mobility (wheelchair user) and nutrition (non-oral feeding support), alongside skilled management for Epilepsy, Arthritis, and Cerebrovascular disease.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Delivering respectful, compassionate personal care (washing, dressing, personal hygiene) and warm companionship.

Supporting physical mobility using safe manual handling techniques and wheelchair transfers.

Managing nutritional needs, including PEG feeding and specialized nourishment plans (Level 5 diet / Level 2 fluid).

Administering medication safely, accurately, and in accordance with care plans.

Monitoring complex health conditions (Epilepsy, Arthritis, Cerebrovascular disease) and tracking symptoms such as pain, numbness, and sleep patterns.

Assisting with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, comfortable home environment.

Maintaining accurate daily documentation and communicating changes proactively to the clinical team.
Who We’re Looking For:

Experience: Minimum 6 months of professional UK care experience.

Skillset: Complex care experience is preferred, but not mandatory-we provide full specialist training!

Compliance: Valid Right to Work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship).

Background Checks: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
