About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN Teacher to deliver bespoke 2:1 tutoring provision for two primary‑aged learners with EHCP‑led support needs.

This flexible opportunity can be taken on a part‑time basis (supporting one learner) or expanded to fuller‑time hours for a professional able to support both learners. Sessions are delivered during the day and focus on academic support, emotional regulation, communication and engagement, using highly personalised, child‑centred approaches.

The learners present with a combination of Autism Spectrum Condition, speech and language delay, emotional regulation needs and learning delays, particularly in literacy. Both benefit from consistent routines, positive reinforcement, sensory‑aware strategies, movement breaks and interest‑led learning. Strengths include engagement through maths, early number work, music, sensory play, outdoor activity and practical tasks.

The role would suit an experienced SEN professional who is confident supporting dysregulation, transitions, safety awareness and engagement, while helping learners build communication skills, emotional literacy, confidence and readiness for broader educational settings.

Benefits:

  • Weekly PAYE pay
  • Competitive rates + holiday pay
  • Pension scheme
  • Refer‑a‑friend bonus
  • Ongoing training
  • Dedicated consultant support
  • Great work-life balance

Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe, calm and positive learning environment
  • Deliver highly personalised, trauma‑informed and sensory‑aware sessions
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse cognitive, emotional and communication needs
  • Support learners to regulate emotions, follow routines and engage positively
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with learners and families
  • Use play‑based, practical and interest‑led strategies to encourage progress
  • Complete tuition reports and maintain clear communication with the wider team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children with SEN (ASD experience essential)
  • Strong understanding of EHCP‑led outcomes

  • Experience with emotional regulation, sensory integration and positive behaviour support
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and right to work in the UK
