Job Title:SEN Teacher (English and Maths) – Year 11 Student
Location: Louth Hours: 5 hours a week
Contract: Flexible daytime hours
About the Role
We are seeking a patient, positive, and nurturing SEN Teacher to provide bespoke 1:1 tuition for a Year 11 female student in Louth, delivering English and Maths.
The student is currently PEX following a one-off incident and has ADHD and ASD. She is articulate about her own needs and responds best when she feels heard, respected, and positively reinforced. She previously enjoyed reading and learning and thrives with encouragement and strong role modelling.
This role would suit a tutor who is calm, adaptable, and confident in using creative, student-led approaches, including visual learning and appropriately structured activities.
Student Profile (Key Information for Teachers)
Year 11 female student with ADHD & ASD
Responds well to positive praise and encouragement
Concentrates best when instructions are given in small, manageable chunks
Visual learning is key – enjoys using a doodle book to support focus
Needs calm, consistent adults who model positive behaviour and resilience
May need flexibility around approach and pacing to help her re-engage with learning
Prefers to feel some control and choice in sessions to build trust and confidence

Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored English and Maths lessons suited to the student’s pace and interests
Create a safe, calm, and positive learning environment
Break learning down into clear, achievable steps
Use visual supports, creativity, and interactive methods to maintain engagement
Build a trusting relationship through active listening and consistent praise
Encourage confidence, motivation, and enjoyment of learning
Complete brief session notes and progress reports
Work collaboratively with families and your dedicated consultant
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher (QTS) or equivalent tutoring experience
Confident teaching English and Maths at KS4 level
Strong experience supporting students with ADHD and/or ASD
Calm, empathetic, and adaptable teaching style
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
Excellent safeguarding knowledge
