Mental health is something we all have, like physical health; it needs care, compassion, and connection. Some days we feel balanced and in control. Other days, we may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or low, and that’s okay. What’s not okay is feeling like we must face it alone.
That’s why at Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, we’re proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 (12-18 May), led by the Mental Health Foundation. This year, the week takes place from 12 to 18 May 2025 and the theme is ‘community’. We want to use this Mental Health Awareness Week to celebrate the power and importance of community.
Connection is one of the most powerful protectors of our mental wellbeing. When we feel part of a supportive community, whether that’s in the workplace, at home, or in our wider networks – we’re more likely to open, ask for help, and care for ourselves and others.
At Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, our community includes healthcare professionals, support workers, coordinators, and everyone behind the scenes working to deliver better outcomes for people. But we know that to truly care for others, we must also care for ourselves and each other.
